UBC Uncrewed Aircraft Systems attended the national SUAS drone competition in Maryland from Jun 24-26, where teams from around the world travelled to compete in autonomous payload delivery and mapping objectives. Despite suffering overheating issues in the 40-degree weather, UBC UAS attained an overall placement of 28th out of the 81 registered teams, earning them 10th place out of all North American schools and achieving the highest score of all Canadian teams!
