For good course / section selection it is best not to delay registration to later in the summer.
Following are links to timetable examples.
These visuals are intended to help plan schedules by incorporating the core requirements as a starting point. Some timetables will include more than one course in a “one of”, for example the 5th year requirement of “one of” MATH 401, 405, 406, or PHYS 410, as the purpose of these timetables is to help with scheduling. To confirm the core requirements, check the “Courses” tab on this web site or the UBC Calendar.
Should there be any discrepancies between the course times showing here and the UBC course schedule, the course schedule is current and accurate.

PHYS 408 registration: After you have registered in the lecture section, 201, if you find all the seats in the lab you want are taken, register on the wait list. Students will be moved into a lab from the wait list later in the summer. We will try to honour lab preferences but lab changes may be inevitable. Some programs in the Faculty of Science also require PHYS 408 and this course is shared with them. The intent will be placement into a lab that does not conflict with the core requirements, which are the priority over technical electives.
