Real-World Learning

In each year of the program, students have a chance to experience real-world learning through a series of hands-on courses, autonomous robotics competitions, advanced physics experiments, as well as research and engineering project courses.

The Cooperative Education Program (COOP), an integral part of ENPH, provides students with up to four paid work placements in research or industry interspersed with academic terms. Work placements can include terms at overseas universities and high-tech companies in Singapore, Germany, Japan, the US, Australia, the UK, Sweden, Taiwan and other locations. More information is available at: www.sciencecoop.ubc.ca

Students interested in starting their own companies after graduation may select from specific entrepreneurship projects in the last two years of the program, and dedicate their elective credits to pursue viable business opportunities with the help of industry and business mentors.
